Define Striated fibers??

Striated fibers, also known as striated muscle fibers or skeletal muscle fibers, are a type of muscle tissue that is characterized by its striped or striated appearance under a microscope. These fibers are responsible for voluntary movements in the body and are attached to bones via tendons. They are long, cylindrical cells that contain multiple nuclei and are organized into bundles called fascicles. Striated fibers are composed of myofibrils, which are made up of repeating units called sarcomeres. The striations in these fibers are caused by the arrangement of the contractile proteins actin and myosin within the sarcomeres.
