The south African criminal justice system has six main parts?

2. Prosecution: The prosecution is responsible for presenting the case against the accused in court. Prosecutors must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused is guilty of the crime they are charged with.

3. Defense attorneys: Defense attorneys represent the accused in court and work to ensure that their client's rights are protected throughout the legal process.

4. Courts: The courts are responsible for adjudicating criminal cases and determining the guilt or innocence of the accused. Judges preside over trials and make decisions based on the evidence presented.

5. Corrections: Once a person is convicted of a crime, they may be sentenced to serve time in prison or another correctional facility. The corrections system is responsible for managing and supervising individuals who have been convicted of crimes.

6. Probation and parole: In some cases, individuals may be sentenced to probation or parole instead of serving time in prison. Probation and parole officers monitor these individuals to ensure they comply with the conditions of their release and do not commit further crimes.
